|Notes to TurboSFV v8.12:|
The recently introduced file filter (filter for attributes and file extensions) can now also be used for the following program modules:
Analysis of validation results
In the main program, it's possible to scan for new files, which are not listed in the hash file. A new menu switch allows to activate the file filter, which limits the number of new files according to the filter settings.
Shell Extension: Infotip
The Infotip handler can also look for new files: With a new checkbox in the configuration dialog, the same file filter can also be applied for the Infotip.
Shell Extension: Property Sheet Content
This handler got also a new checkbox, which activates the filter, while searching for new files. After the scan, the filter details are reported along with the number of new files.
These new features can be useful, if you have used a file filter while creating a hash file and you want to use the same filter while searching for new files. For example, if you have created a hash file for all encrypted files on a
storage medium, you can let TurboSFV search for and report all new encrypted files, which are not listed in the hash
